Halloween

This year we had fun making costumes. J actually designed hers. I had drawn a few pictures for her to choose from, and she picked a fairy. Then we looked at fairies in a book and she drew pictures of what she wanted it to look like- including the white inset and the pointed bottom. We had fun with it. Kelsi wanted to be a pink princess- so a princess fairy. She also chose which picture she wanted. The problem is that I wanted it to change it slightly, but that is what I get for letting her choose. She loved it.

We took pics with our friends the Gainers and the Smiths.

This picture was not staged. He decided to go exploring while we were taking pics and this is where I chased him to.

More Fall Fun

Here are a few more pics from the Halloween party. The next week we went to the pumpkin patch with the Swenson's and their trunk or treat, but I don't have pics off my camera yet...

We are LOVING having DJ's brother and family visiting from NC for an away rotation for medical school. YAY!!!!! It has been sooooo fun to spend some time with them. My girls are so excited to spend time with their cousins. :)

I was attempting to get some good pics of each of the kids. D kept running to a tree, posing and grinning, then running to another tree and grinning again, then running to another... At least he has the posing down. Now if he could just stay put long enough for more than one picture... I thought this one was cute, though.

K had school pictures at preschool, so I took a couple shots before school. What a sweet girl.

Here is another tree pic.. Handsome little guy.

We just inherited a twin from someone moving so we rearranged the girl's room and K is in a full sized bed now! Their wall has tons of dots on it, they are just up high to be out of a certain someone's reach. I'll give you 3 guesses who. Oh- and we had to push the beds together because it was way too tempting to jump from bed to bed and a certain unnamed person (see above) didn't always make the jump. He is very observant and copies every detail his sisters do.

We also had a Halloween Party with the classic bobbing for apples... except the each had money in them. :)

Pictures from Norway

So for those that do not know, DJ was invited to Norway this fall to interview for a Post Doc position, and I invited myself along to check it out. Here are just a few pictures from our trip so far. (we are still here) I posted more pictures here.

Perhaps I should update...

So I am having difficulty with pictures at the moment, but I finally got a bunch uploaded from the rest of our summer. I am very sorry they are out of order. Our July and August was a whirlwind of trips and more trips and school starting. In July we went horseback riding in Rexburg, visited the girl's Great Great Grandmother's grave, watched the Days of '47, went on a trip to Phoenix to visit DJ's Grandma and en route we visited Bryce Canyon, Red Canyon, and the Grand Canyon, had a wonderful time in AZ and then met up with some friends in Vegas on the way home. It was a really fun trip. We also went camping with my family and celebrated Jes's birthday. All she wanted for her birthday was "Pottery" and we found a really great pottery wheel that she has LOVED. School started the end of August and both girls love their classes and teachers. I also rearranged the girl's room this weekend so that they can actually access their toys. This picture is for Kelley. Enjoy the collection of pictures!

The school year is in full swing now. Jessica is in Miss Lee's 1st grade class and is loving it. Kelsi has also started preschool at the Head Start just down the hill in the Village. This is the first time in years I have had quiet time in the afternoon and I am loving it. I sure love my kids- they are each at such a fun age and stage!
